Spend a night in a desert dome camp among the dunes of Erg Chebbi, visit the Gnawa musicians of Khamlia, and explore nomad villages before heading into the dramatic canyon landscapes of Todra and Dadès.
Each night is spent in carefully selected accommodation — from a desert dome camp to mountain guesthouses surrounded by nature — with breakfast and dinner included throughout. The itinerary can also be customized based on your pace, interests, and preferred style of travel.

What to Expect in Your Desert Experience
This 4-day private tour from Marrakech covers southern Morocco's most iconic desert and mountain landscapes at a comfortable pace. Travel is by private air-conditioned vehicle with a professional English-speaking driver throughout. Accommodation moves from a desert dome camp to a hotel in the Merzouga area, then a guesthouse in the Dadès Gorges - each chosen for character and location. Breakfast and dinner are included at every stop. Lunches can be arranged at local restaurants en route. Exact driving times may vary depending on road and weather conditions.

Day 1: Marrakech → Merzouga
08:00 departure from your Marrakech accommodation by private air-conditioned vehicle. Scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains with short stops for photos and rest. Pass through Ouarzazate and Agdz, then continue via Nkob — known for its traditional kasbahs and panoramic desert views. Arrive in Merzouga late afternoon. Check in to desert camp. Optional camel ride at sunset or sunrise (on request). Traditional Moroccan welcome tea, dinner at camp, and overnight in a desert dome under a star-filled sky.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert Experience & Nomad Culture
Breakfast at camp. Free time to enjoy the desert morning. Depart by 4×4 vehicle. Quad bike ride across the sand dunes of Merzouga. Visit nearby nomad villages to discover the traditional desert lifestyle. Desert tour through the vast and peaceful Sahara. Continue to Khamlia — famous for its Gnawa music — for a live musical performance. Lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Afternoon check-in to Auberge du Sud. Relax by the swimming pool. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
Day 3: Merzouga → Erfoud → Todra Gorges → Dadès Gorges
Breakfast at Auberge du Sud. Departure toward Erfoud — short stop at fossil workshops en route. Erfoud is renowned for date production and desert craftsmanship. Continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges for a walk to admire the canyon walls and river. Lunch near the gorges (not included). Afternoon drive to the Dadès Gorges — see the unique "Monkey Fingers" rock formations and enjoy panoramic valley views. Check in to Dar Rihana Dadès. Welcome tea, traditional Moroccan dinner, and overnight surrounded by mountains and nature.
Day 4: Dadès → Ouarzazate → Aït Benhaddou → Marrakech
Breakfast at Dar Rihana Dadès. Drive to Ouarzazate to visit Kasbah Amridil (one of Morocco's best-preserved kasbahs), Kasbah Taourirt, and the Atlas Film Studios — famous for international movie productions. Continue to Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar — free time to explore the ancient kasbah and viewpoints, take photos, and enjoy an optional lunch with a panoramic view (not included). Afternoon drive back across the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening. Drop-off at your accommodation.
